Circuit/System Testing
NOTE:
Perform Circuit/System Verification before Circuit/System Testing.
- Identify how to disable high voltage.
- Identify how to test for the presence of high voltage.
- Identify condition under which high voltage is always present and personal protection equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
- Perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure for servicing the Drive Motor Control Module or Transmission.
- Remove the appropriate component: K107 Drive Motor Control Module
- Test for infinite resistance between each of the phase circuit terminals listed below and the transmission case:
- Phase U
- Phase V
- Phase W
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the component: Drive Motor Stator
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Disassemble the transmission to gain access to the applicable Drive Motor. Refer to: Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Overhaul , or Rear Electric Drive Transmission Module Overhaul
- Inspect the following for debris or dirt:
- Drive Motor Stator
- Automatic Transmission
- If debris is present
Replace the transmission assembly.
- Go to next step: If debris is not present
- Replace the component: Drive Motor Stator
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC. You may also operate the vehicle within the conditions that you observed from the Freeze Frame/Failure Records data.
- Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component: K107 Drive Motor Control Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC does not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
WARNING:
Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection. Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and proper procedures must be followed.
The High Voltage Disabling procedure will perform the following tasks:
Failure to follow the procedures exactly as written may result in serious injury or death.
NOTE:
Always perform the High Voltage Disabling procedure prior to servicing any High Voltage component or connection.
