Circuit/System Description
The battery charger coupler lock control circuit is contained within the battery energy control module and consists of a series of switching circuits in an H-Bridge configuration to drive 12 V DC in either direction on the battery charger coupler lock actuator circuit for the purpose of engaging/disengaging the lock. Coupler lock position is monitored by a 5 V, 2-wire sensor located in the Charge Receptacle assembly.
The integrated circuit that controls coupler lock actuation is internal to the battery energy control module and not serviceable.
