Circuit/System Verification

  1. Visually inspect the charge port for any obstruction or damage to the locking mechanism.
    • If a mechanical issue is found 

      Remove the obstruction if possible. Replace the component: X98 Battery Charger Coupler as necessary.

    • Go to next step: If no mechanical issue can be found 
  2. Vehicle On
  3. Perform the scan tool control function: Battery Charger Coupler Lock - Open/Close
  4. Verify the scan tool parameter:

    Battery Charger Coupler Lock = Locked & Unlocked

  5. Verify the physical Charge Port for lock and unlock actuation.
    • If the lock does not actuate 

      Refer to: DTC P0D91-P0D93 or P1C2F 

      Refer to: Diagnostic Aids for manual lock release, if necessary.

    • If the parameter does not correctly report the state of the lock 

      Refer to: DTC P3027-P3029 

    • Go to next step: If the lock actuates and the parameter reports the correct state 
  6. All OK.
