Circuit/System Verification

Verify there are no DTCs set related to the following component/system: Antilock Braking System
- If any of the DTCs are set
  Refer to: Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) List - Vehicle
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
Inspect the following components:
- B5 Wheel Speed Sensor Correct part
- B5 Wheel Speed Sensor = Visible Damage
- If a condition exists
  Replace the component: B5 Wheel Speed Sensor
- Go to next step: If no conditions exist
Test drive the vehicle.
All sensors must show the same speed when driving in a straight line at a speed greater than 40 km/h (25 MPH).
Verify the following parameters are within 1.6 km/h (1 MPH) of each other: Wheel Speed Sensor
- If within 1.6 km/h (1 MPH) of each other
  Replace the component for which the DTC was set.
- Go to next step: If not within 1.6 km/h (1 MPH) of each other
Inspect the wheel speed sensor reluctor ring for foreign debris. Refer to: Wheel Speed Sensor Reluctor Ring Cleaning and Inspection
Replace the appropriate component: B5 Wheel Speed Sensor
Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC is set
  Replace the module that set the DTC.
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
All OK.
