Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle
  2. GM5911742

    Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.

  3. Assist Step Bracket Cover- Front (1) - Remove
  4. GM5911745

    Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.

  5. Assist Step Bracket Cover- Center (1) - Remove
  6. GM5911748

    Using a suitable plastic trim tool, release the retaining tabs.

  7. Assist Step Bracket Cover- Rear (1) - Remove
  8. GM5910715

    Assist Step Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  9. GM5910712

    Assist Step Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]

  10. GM5910725

    With the aid of an assistant, remove the assist step (1).
