Installation Procedure

  1. GM5831068

    Rear Window Switch (1) - Install

  2. Secure the retaining tabs.
  3. GM5777020

    Windshield Upper Garnish Molding (1) - Install

  4. Connect the electrical connectors.

    NOTE:

    Left side shown, right side similar.

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  6. Install the retainer that attaches the sunshade to the windshield upper garnish molding on both sides of the vehicle.
  7. Sunshade (3) - Install [2x]
    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  8. Sunshade Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications
  9. Sunshade Retainer Bolt Cover (1) - Install [2x]

    Windshield Upper Garnish Molding Clip (1) - Install [4x]

    Sunshade Support (2) - Install [2x]

  12. Sunshade Support Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  13. Close the sunshade support bolt access covers on both sides of the vehicle.

    Install the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover (1) ensuring the retaining tabs are fully seated.

    Windshield Multifunction Sensor Mount Bracket Cover Insert (1) - Install

  16. Apply pressure upward on the windshield multifunction sensor mount bracket cover insert (1) to engage the retaining tabs.

    Connect the electrical connectors.

  18. Windshield Garnish Molding (1) - Install [2x]

    Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

  20. Windshield Pillar Assist Handle Cover (1) - Install [2x]

    Body Hinge Pillar Garnish Molding (1) - Install [2x]

  22. Reposition the weatherstrip as necessary.

    Instrument Panel Outer Trim Cover (1) - Install [2x]

    Center Roof Lift Off Panel (1) - Install

    Center Roof Lift Off Panel Nut (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Slide the left and ride side roof lift off windows (1) inward to engage the roof lift off panel/window rear locating pins (2).

    Gently lower the roof lift off window (1) to engage the removable top locating pin (2) on both sides of the vehicle.

    Rotate the roof lift off pane/window rear latch (1) inward until full travel is reached on both sides of the vehicle.

    Rotate the roof lift off pane/window latch (1) inward until full travel is reached on both sides of the vehicle.
