B342 UHF Low Energy Remote Control Access Sensor Transceiver

There are two variants of the VKS. The first variant of the VKS utilizes a combination of Bluetooth Low Energy and Ultra-WideBand capabilities. The second variant of the VKS utilizes Ultra-WideBand only. Each receives a constant B+ voltage and ground. Each VKS communicates with the Near Field Communication Module via Virtual Key Private CAN. VKS are typically located at each corner of the vehicle exterior, headliner, frunk (if equipped). This is to ensure consistent and even wireless communication coverage of the vehicle interior and exterior. VKS send and receive information from a paired Digital Key device via an internal Bluetooth Low Energy transceiver and Ultra-Wideband transceiver. This information is sent to the VKM via CAN.
