Installation Procedure
- Install the NEW steering gear pressure sensor seal (2).NOTE:
Ensure the steering gear pressure sensor is in the proper orientation.
- Install the steering gear pressure sensor (1).CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
- Install the 4 steering gear pressure sensor bolts (1) and tighten to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
- Connect the electrical connector (1).
- Underbody Skid Shield - Install - Underbody Skid Shield Replacement
- Fill and bleed the power steering system. Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid NOTE:
When replacing the steering gear pressure sensor, the prior learned settings in the electronic power steering motor control module MUST be reset.
- Perform the necessary programming and setup procedures: Control Module References
