WARNING: Do not strike or jolt the Restraints Control Module (RCM). Before applying power to the RCM, make sure that it is securely fastened. Failure to observe the correct installation procedure could cause Supplemental Inflatable Restraint (SIR) deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs. WARNING: Refer to SIR Warning . Preliminary Procedures Disable the SIR system. SIR Disabling and Enabling Air Distributor Duct Adapter Replacement
1	Sensing and Diagnostic Airbag Module Nut [ 3x ] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Procedure Disconnect the electrical connectors. NOTE: Disconnect the electrical connections from the SDM module prior to removing the SDM module nuts. Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Restraints Control Module Procedure Perform the necessary programming and setup procedure:Control Module References Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
