Cruise Control Set/Coast/Resume/Accelerate Switch Signal
- Ignition/Vehicle & All vehicle systems - Off
- Disconnect the component: K9 Body Control Module
- Disconnect the component: Cruise Control Switch Assembly
- Ignition - On/Vehicle - In Service Mode
- Test for less than 1 V between the test points:
- Steering Wheel Resistor Ladder Low Reference circuit at the switch harness connector and ground.
- Cruise Control Set/Coast/Resume/Accelerate Switch Signal circuit at the switch harness connector and ground.
- If 1 V or greater - Repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 1 V
- Ignition/Vehicle - Off
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points:
- Steering Wheel Resistor Ladder Low Reference circuit at the switch harness connector and ground.
- Cruise Control Set/Coast/Resume/Accelerate Switch Signal circuit at the switch harness connector and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance - Repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 ohms between the test points:
- Steering Wheel Resistor Ladder Low Reference circuit at the switch harness connector and the other end of the circuit.
- Cruise Control Set/Coast/Resume/Accelerate Switch Signal circuit at the switch harness connector and the other end of the circuit.
- If 2 ohms or greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 ohms
- Test or replace the component: Cruise Control Switch Assembly
- Operate the vehicle within the Conditions for Running the DTC.Verify the DTC does not set.
- If the DTC sets
Replace the component: K9 Body Control Module
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
- If the DTC sets
- All OK.
