Circuit/System Verification

Ignition/Vehicle - Off
Inspect for damage - Brake System Brake System Slow Release
Inspect for Leaks - Brake System Hydraulic Brake System Diagnosis
Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
Apply and hold the brake pedal. To half stroke - For greater than 2 s
Slowly release the brake pedal.
Verify DTC C05D2 is not set.
- If the DTC is not set
  All OK.
- Go to next step: If the DTC sets
Perform the scan tool control function: Brake Master Cylinder Pressure Test
- If the procedure/test passes
1. Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
2. Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
3. Apply and hold the brake pedal. To half stroke - For greater than 2 s
4. Slowly release the brake pedal.
5. Verify DTC C05D2 is not set.
  - If the DTC sets
    Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder
  - Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
6. All OK.
- Go to next step: If the procedure/test does not pass
Bleed the brake system. Refer to Automated Brake Bleed
Perform the scan tool control function: Brake Hydraulics Test
- If the procedure/test does not pass
Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the procedure/test passes
Ignition/Vehicle - Off - For greater than 5 min
Ignition/Vehicle - On - For greater than 60 s - Brake Pedal Not Applied
Apply and hold the brake pedal. To half stroke - For greater than 2 s
Slowly release the brake pedal.
Verify DTC C05D2 is not set.
- If the DTC sets
  Replace the component: A104 Brake Master Cylinder
- Go to next step: If the DTC is not set
All OK.
