Installation Procedure

    Carefully install the battery sensor along with the battery negative cable to the vehicle. (1)

    Battery Current Sensor Connector (1) - Connect

    Battery Negative Cable (3) - Install

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  4. Battery Negative Cable Fastener (2) - Install and tighten 13 N.m (115 lb in)
  5. Close the battery fuse block cover. (1)

    Battery Negative Cable (1) - Install

  7. Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  8. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Battery Negative Cable (1) - Install

  10. Battery Negative Cable Frame Ground Fastener (2) - Install and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)

    Connect the EPS connector (2) to the battery negative cable connector (1) and attach to the front crossmember.

    Battery Negative Cable (2) - Install

  13. Engine Ground Cable Stud (1) - Install and tighten 58 N.m (43 lb ft)
  14. Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (without ZR2) , or Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (with ZR2) , or Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (Bison) - Install
  15. Lower the vehicle.
  16. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection
