Installation Procedure

- Thoroughly clean the brake caliper bracket guide pin bores with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
- Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the caliper guide pins.
- Install Upper Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (1)
- Ensure the guide pin seal is fully seated in the groove of the caliper guide pin.
- Gently lift the edge of the guide pin seal while pushing the guide pin into the caliper bracket bore to expel any trapped air.
- Install Lower Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (1)
- Ensure the guide pin seal is fully seated in the groove of the caliper guide pin.
- Gently lift the edge of the guide pin seal while pushing the guide pin into the caliper bracket bore to expel any trapped air.
- Install Rear Brake Caliper (1)
- Install Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) and tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
NOTE:
The upper rear brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and MUST be installed in the same location.
