Installation Procedure

  1. Thoroughly clean the brake caliper bracket guide pin bores with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
  2. Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the caliper guide pins.

    NOTE:

    The upper rear brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and MUST be installed in the same location.

  4. Install Upper Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (1)
  5. Ensure the guide pin seal is fully seated in the groove of the caliper guide pin.
  6. Gently lift the edge of the guide pin seal while pushing the guide pin into the caliper bracket bore to expel any trapped air.
  7. Install Lower Rear Brake Caliper Guide Pin (1)
  8. Ensure the guide pin seal is fully seated in the groove of the caliper guide pin.
  9. Gently lift the edge of the guide pin seal while pushing the guide pin into the caliper bracket bore to expel any trapped air.

  11. Install Rear Brake Caliper (1)

  13. Install Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) and tighten 40 N.m (30 lb ft)
  14. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
  15. Calibrate the park brake. Park Brake Calibration
