Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2022 Cadillac CT5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
Cruise Control Switch Signal
- Ignition/Vehicle Off and all vehicle systems Off.
- Disconnect the harness connector at the S70L Cruise Control Switch.
- Test for less than 10 Ω between circuit 1449 and ground.
- If 10 Ω or greater
- Ignition/Vehicle Off.
- Test for less than 2 Ω in circuit 1449 end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- If less than 2 Ω, repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If less than 10 Ω
- Ignition/Vehicle Off, disconnect the harness connector at the K90 Body Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between circuit 1884 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in circuit 1884 end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
- Test for less than 1 V between circuit 1884 and ground.
- If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 1 V
- Test for infinite resistance between circuit 1884 and ground.
- Test or replace the S70L Cruise Control Switch.
- Verify that no cruise control DTCs are set while operating the vehicle under the conditions for setting the DTC.
- If any of the DTCs are set
Replace the K9 Body Control Module.
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- All OK.
NOTE:
It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down before an accurate ground or low reference circuit continuity test can be performed.
Adaptive Cruise Control Gap Up/Down Switch Signal
- Ignition/Vehicle Off and all vehicle systems Off.

- If less than 2 Ω, repair the open/high resistance in the ground connection.
- Go to next step: If less than 10 Ω
- Ignition/Vehicle Off, disconnect the harness connector at the K90 Body Control Module.
- Test for infinite resistance between circuit 5737 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω in circuit 5737 end to end.
- If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 Ω
