Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L96 LC8)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L83)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery)Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (L5P) .
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the FICM (2), by sliding purple connector lock open (1).

  3. Remove the nuts (1) and spacers (2) attaching the FICM to the mounting bracket.

  4. Remove the bolts (1) attaching the FICM to the mounting bracket.

  5. Remove the FICM from vehicle.
