Removal Procedure
WARNING:
CAUTION:
Always connect or disconnect the wiring harness connector from the EBCM/EBTCM with the ignition switch in the OFF position. Failure to observe this precaution could result in damage to the EBCM/EBTCM.
- Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
- Without draining the engine coolant and without disconnecting the hoses, remove and position aside the radiator surge tank. Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LGX with V08) , or Radiator Surge Tank Replacement (LCV)
- Thoroughly clean the electronic brake control module (EBCM) to brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV) area of any accumulated dirt and debris.
Left Front Brake Pipe Fitting (2) - Disconnect
- Right Front Brake Pipe Fitting (3) - Disconnect
- Right Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (1) - Disconnect
- Left Rear Brake Pipe Fitting (4) - Disconnect
- Cap the brake pipe fittings and plug the BPMV outlet ports to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Master Cylinder Reservoir Front Pipe (1) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve - Remove
- Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Master Cylinder Reservoir Rear Pipe (2) @ Brake Pressure Modulator Valve - Remove
- Cap the brake pipe fittings and plug the BPMV inlet ports to prevent brake fluid loss and contamination.
Disconnect the EBCM electrical connector (1).
Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Bolt (2) - Remove
- Electronic Brake Control Module with Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Assembly (1) - Remove
- Transfer components as necessary.
