Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate the vacuum pump seal (1) with clean engine oil before installing the vacuum pump. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers

  2. Before continuing, make sure that the vacuum pump locating pins (1) are installed in the vacuum pump.
  3. Install the vacuum pump gasket (2) over the vacuum pump locating pins (1).

  4. Install the vacuum pump (1) and start the vacuum pump bolts (2) by hand.
    5. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  5. Tighten the vacuum pump bolts (2) to:
    1. First Pass: 15 N.m (11 lb ft)
    2. Final Pass: 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
  6. Install Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube - Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement 
  7. Install Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe@Vacuum Pump Assembly - Power Brake Booster Vacuum Pipe Replacement (LYX)
