Installation Procedure
- Ensure ALL fittings are clean and dry prior to assembly.
- Lubricate the fuel feed intermediate pipe fittings with silicon free engine oil.
- To install the NEW fuel feed intermediate pipe (4) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1) and to the fuel pump (6), perform the following steps:
- Hand tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fitting (2) to the fuel injection fuel rail (1).
- Hand tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fitting (5) to the fuel pump (6).
- Tighten the fuel feed intermediate pipe fittings (2, 5) to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).
- Install the fuel injection fuel feed pipe clip bolt (3) and tighten to 10 N.m (89 lb in).
- Inspect for leaks using the following procedure:
- Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF for 2 seconds.
- Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
- Turn ON the ignition with the engine OFF.
- Inspect for fuel leaks.
- Install the charge air cooler outlet air tube to the throttle body. Charge Air Cooler Outlet Air Tube Replacement
- Install Intake Manifold Cover - Intake Manifold Cover Replacement

NOTE:
If a fuel leak occurs at the fuel pump or the fuel injection fuel rail fitting, the corresponding component will need to be replaced.
