Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Dual Battery) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Single Battery) .
  2. Remove the upper intake manifold sight shield. Refer to Upper Intake Manifold Sight Shield Replacement .
  3. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory .

  4. Disconnect the engine harness connector (4) and remove the generator B + protective boot (3).
  5. Remove the generator B + fastener (2) and remove the generator battery control wiring harness cable (1), from the generator (5).

  6. Remove the generator mounting bolts (1) and remove the generator (2) from the engine compartment.
