Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank filler pipe (1) to the vehicle.

  2. Connect the fuel tank vent hose (3) to the fuel tank filler pipe (4). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service .
  3. Install the fuel tank filler hose (2) to the fuel tank filler pipe (4).
    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the fuel tank filler hose clamp (1).
  5. Install the evaporative emission system vacuum leak pump filter assembly. Refer to Evaporative Emission System Vacuum Leak Pump Filter Replacement .
  6. Install the pickup box wheelhouse panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Replacement .

  7. Install the fuel tank filler pipe bolts (1) to the fuel tank filler pipe (2) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
  8. Install the fuel tank filler pipe housing. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing Replacement .
