Removal Procedure

  1. Remove Body Harness Ground Fastener (1) @ Battery Negative Post Clamp (3)
  2. Remove Body Harness Terminal (2)
  3. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection

  4. Remove Engine Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket (2) -Engine Wiring Harness Fuse Block Bracket Replacement

  5. Disengage Remove Retainer (1)

  6. Disconnect the battery current sensor connector. (1)
  7. Disengage Retainer (2)
  8. Open the battery fuse block cover. (4)
  9. Remove Fuse Block Nut (3)
  10. Remove Battery Negative Cable (5)

  11. Remove Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (1)
  12. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
  13. Remove Underbody Splash Shield - Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (without ZR2)Underbody Splash Shield Replacement (with ZR2)
  14. Remove Steering Gear Skid Shield - Steering Gear Skid Shield Replacement (without ZR2)Steering Gear Skid Shield Replacement (with ZR2)

  15. Disconnect the electric belt drive rack and pinion steering gear connector (1).
  16. Disengage Retainer (2)

  17. Remove Battery Negative Cable Frame Ground Fastener (2).
  18. Disengage Retainer (1).

  19. Remove Battery Negative Cable Ground Fastener (1).
  20. Lower the vehicle.

    NOTE:

    Note the routing of the battery negative cable within the engine compartment.

  21. Remove the battery negative cable (1) from the engine compartment.
