Installation Procedure

  1. Support the fuel tank with a suitable jack.
    2. Fig 1: Fuel Tank

  2. Position and raise the fuel tank (1).
  3. Connect the electrical connector.
  4. Install Fuel Tank (1)

  5. Install Fuel Tank Straps (2) (Qty: 2)
    6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  6. Install and tighten Fuel Tank Strap Bolts (1) (Qty: 2) to 45 N.m (33 lb ft)

  7. Connect Fuel Feed and Return Pipe (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service

  8. Install Fuel Tank Filler Pipe (3)
  9. Install and tighten Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Clamp (2) to 3.5 N.m (31 lb in)
  10. Connect Fuel Tank Filler Vent Pipe (1). Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service 
  11. Replace the fuel filter. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement 
  12. Lower the vehicle.
  13. Refill the fuel tank.
  14. Inspect for fuel leaks.
