Installation Procedure
- Clean and inspect the injector prior to reinstalling it. Refer to Fuel Injector Cleaning and Inspection
- Install a NEW Combustion Fuel Injector Seal (1).
- Slide the Fuel Injector Hold Down Clamp (3) into the grooves of the Fuel Injector (5), then install them into the Valve Rocker Arm Cover ensuring that the Fuel Injector Locating Pin (4) engages the Fuel Injector Hold Down Clamp (3)
- Install Fuel Injector Washer (2)
- Install and tighten Fuel Injector Bracket Bolt (1) to 32 N.m (24 lb ft)
- Connect Electrical Connectors (1) @ Fuel Injectors (2)
- Install Fuel Injection Fuel Return Pipe. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Return Pipe Replacement »Install
- Install the NEW Fuel Rail to Fuel Injector Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Feed Pipe Replacement (Fuel Injector to Fuel Rail)
- Replace the fuel filter. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement
- Using the scan tool, perform the fuel Injector learn procedure. Refer to K20 Engine Control Module: Programming and Setup
- Set the fuel injector flow rate. Refer to Fuel Injector Flow Rate Programming
- Install Intake Manifold Cover. Refer to Intake Manifold Cover Replacement
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
With the engine running, check for fuel system leaks prior to reinstalling the intake manifold cover.
