Installation Procedure
- Install Fuel Pump (2)
- Install and tighten Fuel Pump Nuts (1) (Qty: 2) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)
- Install Engine Front Cover (With Vacuum Pump). Refer to Engine Front Cover Replacement (With Vacuum Pump) »Install
- Install Fuel Injection Pump Drive Pulley. Refer to Fuel Injection Pump Drive Pulley Replacement
- Replace the fuel filter. Refer to Fuel Filter Replacement
- Prime the fuel system. Refer to Fuel System Priming
- Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
- Using a scan tool, perform the fuel pressure regulator learn.

Refer to Fastener Caution .
WARNING:
High Pressure Lines deliver diesel fuel under extreme pressure from the injection pump to the fuel injectors. This may be as high as 1600 Bar (23,200 psi). Use extreme caution when inspecting for high pressure leaks. Fuel under this amount of pressure can penetrate skin causing personal injury, or death. Wear safety goggles and adequate clothing when servicing this fuel system.
