Installation Procedure

  1. Install NEW emission reduction fluid supply pump module seal (3) @ emission reduction fluid supply pump module (2)
  2. Install Emission reduction fluid supply pump module (2) @ emission reduction fluid tank (4)

  3. Bring the emission reduction fluid supply pump module in the installation position.
  4. The locator tab (1) must align with the word LOCATOR on the emission reduction fluid tank.
  5. Tighten the emission reduction fluid tank pump module ring. Use the J-45722  Fuel Sender Lock Ring Wrench.
  6. Install Emission Reduction Fluid Pump Module Wiring Harness. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Pump Module Wiring Harness Replacement 
  7. Install Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Shield. Refer to Emission Reduction Fluid Tank Shield Replacement 
  8. Lower the vehicle.
  9. Bleed the emission reduction fluid system:
    1. Connect the scan tool to the vehicle.
    2. Start the emission reduction system leak test using the scan tool.
    3. Wait until the emission reduction fluid pump has reached the delivery pressure of 5 bar (72.5 psi).
    4. Stop the emission reduction system leak test using the scan tool.
    5. Remove the scan tool.
