Installation Procedure

- Install the parking brake lever assembly.
- Install the parking brake lever front cable pass through grommet (1) to the driver floor panel.
- Install the parking brake lever front cable (1) to the underbody bracket.
- Ensure the parking brake lever front cable locking tabs are fully engaged in the underbody bracket.
- Connect the parking brake lever front cable to the parking brake intermediate cable connector (1).
- Install the left side underbody front air deflector. Refer to Underbody Front Air Deflector Replacement - Left Side .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Position the parking brake lever assembly to the studs.
- Loosely install the parking brake lever forward nut (1).
- Loosely install the parking brake lever rear nuts (1).
- Alternately tighten the parking brake lever nuts to 9 N.m (80 lb in).
- Connect the parking brake indicator switch electrical connector.
- Reposition the driver side front floor carpet.
- Install the front side door sill trim plate. Refer to Front Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Sedan)Front Side Door Sill Trim Plate Replacement (Coupe)
- Install the driver footrest. Refer to Driver Footrest Replacement (Sedan)Driver Footrest Replacement (Coupe) .
- Enable the parking brake cable adjuster. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling (Without J77) Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Enabling (With J77)
