Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Battery Hold Down Bolt And Battery

  1. Install Battery
  2. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer
    3. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution

  3. Install Battery Hold Down Bolt and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
  4. Install the engine control module bracket along with the engine control module to the battery tray. Engine Control Module Bracket Replacement

  5. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer
  6. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer Bolt and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
  7. Install Battery Hold Down Retainer Nut and tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)

  8. Engage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab
  9. Battery Positive Post Clamp Nut Tighten 4.5 N.m (40 lb in)

  10. Close the battery fuse block cover.
  11. Engage Battery Distribution Fuse Block Retaining Tab
  12. Connect the negative battery cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Without KL9) Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (With KL9)
