Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Bracket Replacement

  1. Remove Rear Bumper Fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
  2. Fig 1: Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor

    NOTE:

    The sensor bracket must be painted if replaced. If reinstalled, painting will not be necessary.

  3. Disconnect the electrical connector.
  4. Remove Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor (1)

    IMPORTANT:

    Do Not grind off alignment tabs.

  6. Sand/grind sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia. (1)

  8. Apply structural adhesive epoxy (1), Lord Fusor™ 127EZ or equivalent, to fascia at mating surface.

  10. Using the alignment tabs, install the sensor bracket (1) to the fascia.
  11. Allow adhesive to cure according to manufacturer's directions.

  13. Install Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor (1)
  14. Connect the electrical connector.
  15. Install Rear Bumper Fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
