Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor Bracket Replacement
- Remove Rear Bumper Fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
- Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Remove Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor (1)
- Sand/grind sonic weld plastic residue from the fascia. (1)
- Apply structural adhesive epoxy (1), Lord Fusor™ 127EZ or equivalent, to fascia at mating surface.
- Using the alignment tabs, install the sensor bracket (1) to the fascia.
- Allow adhesive to cure according to manufacturer's directions.
- Install Rear Parking Assist Alarm Sensor (1)
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install Rear Bumper Fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement
NOTE:
The sensor bracket must be painted if replaced. If reinstalled, painting will not be necessary.
IMPORTANT:
Do Not grind off alignment tabs.
