WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2015 GMC Terrain and 2015 Chevrolet Equinox. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down
  2. Disconnect the harness connectors at both of the P22 seatback video displays.
  3. Test for less than 10 Ω between the signal (-) circuits terminal 13 and ground at each display.
    • If 10 Ω or greater
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 connector at the A11 radio.
    2. Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
      • If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 radio.
    • If less than 10 Ω
  4. Ignition ON, radio ON, DVD playing.
  5. Test for 1-4 V between the signal (+) circuit terminal 12 and ground at each display.
    • If less than 1 V
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 harness connector at the A11 radio.
    2. Test for infinite resistance between the signal circuit and ground.
      • If less than infinite resistance, repair the short to ground on the circuit.
      • If infinite resistance
    3. Test for less than 2 Ω in the signal circuit end to end.
      • If 2 Ω or greater, repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
      • If less than 2 Ω, replace the A11 radio.
    • If greater than 4 V
    1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the X3 harness connector at the A11 radio. Ignition ON.
    2. Test for less than 1 V between the signal circuit and ground.
      • If 1 V or greater, repair the short to voltage on the circuit.
      • If less than 1 V, replace the A11 radio.
    • If between 1-4 V
  6. Ignition OFF. Connect the harness connector at the P22E driver seatback video display.
  7. Ignition ON, radio ON, DVD playing.
  8. Test for 1-4 V between the signal (+) circuit terminal 12 and ground at the P22F passenger seatback video display.
    • If less than 1 V

Test or replace the P22E driver seatback video display

    • If greater than 4 V

Test or replace the P22E driver seatback video display

    • If between 1-4 V
  9. Test or replace the P22F passenger seatback video display.
