Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .

  2. Open the battery fuse block cover (1) and loosen the battery positive cable clamp fastener (2).

  3. Release the battery fuse block retaining tabs (1) and set aside the battery fuse block (2).

  4. Remove the battery retainer fastener (1) and remove the battery retainer brace (2) from the battery (3).

  5. Remove the battery hold down retainer rod (1) and the battery retainer (2).

  6. Remove the battery (1) from the engine compartment.
