Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, radio OFF, radio B+ fuse removed, disconnect all of the connectors listed below:
    • Audio Amplifier X1
    • Navigation Information Display Module (if equipped)
    • Driver Seatback Video Display (if equipped)
    • Passenger Seatback Video Display (if equipped)
    • Active Noise Cancellation Module (if equipped)
  2. Reinstall the radio B+ fuse. Ignition ON, radio ON, verify that DTC B1265 is NOT set as current.
    • If DTC B1265 is set as current, test the entertainment remote enable circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal replace the radio.
  3. Verify that a test lamp illuminates between the entertainment remote enable circuit terminal listed below and ground:
    • Audio Amplifier X1 terminal 8
    • Navigation Information Display Module terminal 6 (if equipped)
    • Driver Seatback Video Display terminal 2 (if equipped)
    • Passenger Seatback Video Display terminal 2 (if equipped)
    • Active Noise Cancellation Module terminal 2 (if equipped)
    • If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the entertainment remote enable circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal replace the radio.
  4. Re-connect the harness connectors listed below one at a time. Verify that DTC B1265 does NOT set as current as each component is re-connected.
    • Audio Amplifier X1
    • Navigation Information Display Module (if equipped)
    • Driver Seatback Video Display (if equipped)
    • Passenger Seatback Video Display (if equipped)
    • Active Noise Cancellation Module (if equipped)
    • If DTC B1265 sets as current, replace the module/component that was just re-connected.
