Preliminary Procedures Remove the throttle body assembly. Refer to Throttle Body Assembly Replacement . Disconnect the positive junction block cable from the intake air heater. Refer to Battery Positive Junction Block Cable Replacement (Air Intake Heater - Diesel) , Battery Positive Junction Block Cable Replacement (Glow Plug Module - Diesel) .
1	Upper Intake Manifold Brace Upper Fastener CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . NOTE: Hand start the upper intake manifold brace upper and lower fasteners prior to tightening. Tighten 10 (89 lb in)
2	Upper Intake Manifold Lower Fasteners NOTE: Hand start the upper intake manifold brace upper and lower fasteners prior to tightening. Tighten 25 (18 lb ft)
3	Upper Intake Manifold Brace NOTE: Ensure that both upper and lower brace fasteners are tightened to spec as the brace serves as the ground pathway for the Intake Air Heater electrical circuit.
4	Intake Air Heater Procedure Disconnect the intake air heater harness connectors. Install a NEW throttle body gasket.
