Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
  2. Remove the right side wheelhouse liner. Refer to Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (GMC) , Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement - Right Side (Chevrolet) .

  3. Remove the indirect fuel injector fasteners (1, 2).

  4. Remove the indirect fuel injector retainer (1) from the fitting.
  5. Remove the indirect fuel injector (2) using the CH-49736  tool.
  6. Remove the indirect injector fitting.
