Installation Procedure

  1. Install the fuel tank (1).

  2. Support the fuel tank with a suitable jack.
  3. Connect the fuel sender electrical connector.
    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  4. Install the fuel tank strap bolts (1) and tighten to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).

  5. Connect the filler tube to the tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement (Pickup) , Fuel Tank Filler Hose Replacement (Cab/Chassis) .
  6. Install the fuel tank shield. Refer to Fuel Tank Shield Replacement .
