Installation Procedure

  1. Install the gasket.
  2. Install the booster assembly.
  3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  4. Install the 4 booster to bulkhead nuts and tighten to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
  5. Install the stop lamp switch. Refer to Stop Lamp Switch Replacement (With Adjustable Pedals) or Stop Lamp Switch Replacement (Without Adjustable Pedals) .
  6. Install the master cylinder to the brake booster and tighten to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).
  7. Connect the return hose, the steering gear, and the inlet hoses.
  8. Bleed the hydraulic booster system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  9. Release the park brake and unblock the wheels.
