Crankshaft Position Sensor Replacement

Callout Component Name

Preliminary Procedures

  1. If equipped with AWD, remove the right side catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement - Right Side (LFW) .
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
1 Bolt
CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Tighten:  9 N.m (80 lb in)

2 Bolt

Tighten:  58 N.m (42 lb ft)

3 Exhaust Manifold Lower Heat Shield
4 Bolt

Tighten:  10 N.m (89 lb in)

5 Crankshaft Position Sensor

Procedure

  1. Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor harness connector.
  2. If LF1, perform the crankshaft position system variation learn procedure. Refer to Crankshaft Position System Variation Learn
