Installation Procedure

NOTE: The new speed sensor will have a new O-ring. Dispose of the old O-ring. Lubricate the new O-ring lightly with bearing grease prior to installation. You may also lubricate the sensor just above and below the new O-ring. DO NOT lubricate the bore.

Install the wheel speed sensor into the hub and bearing assembly.

CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

Install the wheel speed sensor bolt and tighten to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).

Connect the wheel speed sensor electrical connector.

NOTE: The new speed sensor has new mounting clips already installed on the wire. DO NOT reuse the old clips.

Install the wheel speed sensor wiring harness to the frame and control arm.

Install the brake rotor. Refer to Front Brake Rotor Replacement .
Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation .
