Installation Procedure

  1. Install the EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: Bracket

  2. If removed, install the bracket (1) to the BPMV.
    3. CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .

  3. If removed, install the BPMV bracket bolts (1) and tighten to 11 N.m (97 lb in).

  4. Install the EBCM/BPMV assembly (1) to the vehicle.

  5. Install the EBCM/BPMV assembly bracket nuts (1) and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

    Connect the master cylinder secondary brake pipe fitting (1) to the EBCM/BPMV assembly and tighten to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

    Connect the master cylinder primary brake pipe fitting (1) to the EBCM/BPMV assembly and tighten to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).

    Connect the LF brake pipe fitting (1) to the EBCM/BPMV assembly and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

    Connect the LR brake pipe fitting (1) to the EBCM/BPMV assembly and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  6. Connect the RR brake pipe fitting (1) to the EBCM/BPMV assembly and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).

  7. Connect the RF brake pipe fitting (1) to the EBCM/BPMV assembly and tighten to 17 N.m (13 lb ft).
  8. Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
  9. Perform the Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed Procedure .
