WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Saturn Outlook, 2008 GMC Acadia, and 2008 Buick Enclave. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
IMPORTANT:
Perform the Audio System Troubleshooting Hints to properly identify the customers concern before using this diagnostic.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the antenna coax cable from the radio. Verify there is less than 0.20 ohms between the negative battery cable and the coaxial cable metal outer shield.
- If greater than specified value, repair faulty antenna mast base attachment (ground to the body) or replace the antenna coax cable.
- Disconnect the X2 radio antenna harness connector.
- Ignition ON and radio ON, verify there is greater than 9 volts on the radio on circuit terminal 1.
- If less than specified value repair open, short to ground or replace the radio.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the antenna coaxial cable from the radio.
- Verify there is less than 3.5 ohms between the antenna end coaxial cable center conductor and the radio end coaxial cable center conductor.
- If greater than specified value, replace the coaxial cable.
- If the antenna coax cable tests normal replace the radio.
