Scan Tool Data Definitions

Use the scan tool data display values and definitions information in order to assist in diagnosing vehicle malfunctions. Compare the vehicles actual scan tool data display with the typical data value in the table. Use the data in order to aid in understanding the nature of the concern when the vehicle data display does not match the typical data values. Refer to Scan Tool Data List .

The typical scan tool data values were taken from a known good vehicle under the following conditions:

• The ignition switch is in the ON position.
• The windshield wiper/washer switch is OFF.

Washer Fluid Level

The scan tool displays the current state of the washer fluid level sensor. With fluid level above the minimum, the scan tool displays OK. With fluid level below the minimum, the scan tool displays Low.

Washer Relay Cmd.

The scan tool displays the commanded state of the FRT WASHER PCB relay. The parameter displays On when the washers are commanded on.

Windshield Washer Switch

The scan tool displays the current state of the WASH portion of the windshield wiper washer switch. The parameter will display Active when the WASH switch is depressed.

Windshield Wiper Switch

The scan tool displays the current state of the windshield wiper washer switch. The parameter displays corresponds with the actual position of the switch: Off, Low, High, or Intermittent.

Wiper Delay Setting

The scan tool displays the current position of the delay switch, with D1 being the shortest delay and D5 being the longest.

Wiper High Speed Relay Cmd.

The scan tool displays the commanded state of the WIPER HIGH PCB relay. The parameter displays On when the high speed wipers are commanded on.

Wiper High Speed Switch

The scan tool displays the current state of the windshield wiper washer switch. The parameter will display Active when the switch is in the high speed position.

Wiper Park Switch

The scan tool displays the status of the wiper park function. The parameter will display Active when the park function is enabled and indicates that the wipers will park when the switch is turned to the OFF position or the ignition if turned OFF.

Wiper Relay Cmd.

The scan tool displays the commanded state of the WIPER PCB relay. The parameter displays On when the low speed or intermittent wipers are commanded on.
