Installation Procedure

    Fig 1: Removing The Shift Lever And Seal

  1. Install the shift tower housing to the transmission.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the shift tower housing bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the shift tower housing bolts to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

  3. Install the boot to the shift tower.
  4. Install the shift boot screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the shift boot screws to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the shift lever to the shift tower.
