Installation Procedure

  1. Install the transmission mount to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the transmission mount to the transmission or transfer case adapter mounting bolts (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  3. Lower the transmission.
  4. Install the transmission mount shield bracket, if equipped.
  5. Install the transmission mount to the transmission support retaining nut or nuts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the nut or nuts to 57 N.m (42 lb ft).

  6. Remove the transmission jack.

  7. Install the transmission mount shield, if equipped.
  8. Install the transmission mount shield bolts, if equipped.

    Tighten: 

    • Tighten the transmission mount shield front bolts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
    • Tighten the transmission mount shield rear bolts to 33 N.m (24 lb ft).

  9. Lower the vehicle.
