Removal Procedure

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (Pickup 4.3L)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement (Utility 4.3L)  .

  3. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange bolts.
  4. Remove the exhaust manifold pipe and seal from the vehicle.
