Checking Fluid Levels

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Ensure the vehicle is level. Clean any dirt from around the fill plug. Remove the transmission fill plug. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 .
  2. Ensure transmission fluid level is even with the bottom of the fill plug hole. Add appropriate fluid, if necessary. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS .
  3. Apply sealant to fill plug threads. Install the transmission fill plug and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lower the vehicle.
