Installation Procedure

  1. Install the exhaust manifold pipe and new seal to the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange bolts.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the exhaust manifold pipe to manifold flange bolts to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  3. Install the catalytic converter. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement (2.2L)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement (Pickup 4.3L)  or Catalytic Converter Replacement (Utility 4.3L)  .
  4. Lower the vehicle.
