Vehicle Speed Sensor: Installation

  1. Install the speed sensor and NEW "O" ring seal. See Figure.
  2. Coat the "O" ring seal (3) with clean transmission fluid.
  3. Install the vehicle speed sensor (1) into the transmission case.
  4. Install and tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  5. Install the harness connector.
  6. Remove the drain pan.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. Fill transmission with appropriate fluid to proper level. See LUBRICATION .
