Vehicle Speed Sensor: Installation
Install the new O-ring seal to the vehicle speed sensor. Coat the new O-ring seal with a thin film of transmission fluid. Install the vehicle speed sensor and the sensor retaining bolt. Tighten the bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the vehicle speed sensor harness connector. Lower the vehicle.
Coat a new O-ring seal with a thin film of transmission fluid. Replace the O-ring on the vehicle speed sensor assembly and install the vehicle speed sensor assembly. See Fig 2. Tighten the vehicle speed sensor retaining bolt to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the harness connector to the sensor. See Fig 1. Lower the vehicle.
