Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  3. Remove the radiator inlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Inlet .
  4. Remove the radiator outlet hose. Refer to Radiator Hose Replacement - Outlet .
  5. Disconnect the transmission oil cooler lines.
  6. If equipped with an air pump:
    1. Disconnect the 2 hoses from the air pump outlet pipe (1).
    2. Remove the 2 bolts from the air pump outlet pipe (2).

  8. Disconnect the fan motor electrical connector.
  9. Disconnect the 2 fan motor electrical harness clamps from the fan shroud.
  10. Remove the 2 radiator mount bolts.
  11. Remove the radiator fan with the motor.
  12. Transfer all necessary components onto the replacement radiator.
