Installation Procedure

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Install the bolt and fir-tree fasteners securing the AIR pipe to the cylinder head.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  2. Install the cylinder head. Refer to Cylinder Head Replacement in Engine Mechanical - 4.2L.
  3. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.

  5. Connect both the air inlet and air outlet pipe to the AIR pump.
  6. Lower the vehicle.
