Installation Procedure

  1. Lubricate 2 NEW slide pin boots (15,20) with lithium soap base glycol grease.
  2. Use a 19 mm socket and a hammer in order to install the boots to the caliper bracket (14). Verify the boots are firmly seated on the caliper bracket.
  3. Lubricate the sliding pins (17,21) with lithium soap base glycol grease.
  4. Install the sliding pins to the caliper bracket.

  6. Install the upper brake pad retainer (4) to the caliper bracket.
  7. Install the lower brake pad retainer (9) to the caliper bracket.
  8. Install the inner wear indicator (3) to the inner pad (10).
  9. Install the outer wear indicator (5), if equipped, to the outer pad (6).
  10. Apply disc brake grease to both sides of the inner pad insulator (2).
  11. Install the inner pad insulator to the inner pad.
  12. Install the inner insulator (1) to the inner pad insulator.
  13. Apply disc brake grease to both sides of the outer pad insulator (8).
  14. Install the outer pad insulator to the outer pad.
  15. Install the outer insulator (7) to the outer pad insulator.
  16. Install the brake pads. Refer to Brake Pads Replacement - Front .
